Costco plans to open new warehouses across nine U.S. states as part of its continued expansion. The company has not announced exact opening dates but has identified the expected opening month for each location.

In Metro Phoenix, Costco plans to open its new Chandler Business Center in November. Unlike a traditional warehouse, a Costco Business Center focuses heavily on products for restaurants, offices, convenience stores and other businesses. However, all Costco members can shop there. The Chandler location will expand Costco’s presence in the Southeast Valley and give area businesses another option for buying food, beverages, supplies and other products in bulk.

The new location at Alma School and Pecos Roads broke ground in late 2025 and infrastructure improvements by the City of Chandler have been ongoing at the site. Paving and external work on the 140,000-square-foot warehouse and 15-pump gas station looks to be complete.

This Chandler location will differ from a traditional Costco warehouse. Costco Business Centers are more functional and have less amenities than traditional warehouses. They offer an expanded selection of office supplies, bulk commercial-grade food items, and products tailored to workplace and commercial needs, along with earlier hours (7 am), and no food courts or pharmacies.

Costco currently operates 26 Costco Business Centers in 14 states, including the Phoenix location near Indian School Road and Grand Avenue.

There are currently 20 traditional Costco warehouse locations in Metro Phoenix.

Costco Business Center Coming to East Valley

Costco is a membership-only chain of wholesale stores. It sells brand-name and private-label products, including Kirkland Signature, in bulk at low prices. Shoppers pay an annual fee to access its stores and services. Costco is known for a limited selection of high-quality goods and low operating costs.
