SEMICON West Selects AZ for Long-Term Future

SEMI, the global association representing the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing supply chain, announced that Phoenix and Arizona will become the long-term home of SEMICON West. The event will move to an annual spring schedule beginning March 30–April 1, 2027, at the Phoenix Convention Center. Following a record-setting Arizona debut last fall, registrations increased 60% and exhibitor participation grew nearly 50%, making it the best-attended SEMICON West in nearly two decades.

PHOENIX, AZ (July 30, 2026) — SEMI, the global industry association serving the semiconductor and electronics design and manufacturing supply chain, today announced that Arizona will become the long-term home of SEMICON West, with a new annual spring schedule beginning March 30–April 1, 2027, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

SEMICON West made a record-setting debut in Arizona last fall, with a 60% surge in registrations and nearly 50% more exhibitors, making it the most widely attended SEMICON West in nearly 20 years.

“The move to a spring schedule marks an exciting new chapter for SEMICON West,” said Joe Stockunas, President of SEMI Americas. “By establishing Phoenix as the long-term home of our flagship North American event, we’re creating greater consistency for attendees while building on the tremendous momentum of Arizona’s rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem. The success of SEMICON West in Phoenix demonstrated the strength of the region’s innovation community, and we’re excited to continue growing the event there for years to come.”

“We’re proud Arizona has been selected as the long-term home of SEMICON West,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “This decision reflects the strength, momentum, and global significance of our rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with SEMI and all our local partners to support the industry’s continued growth and showcase the talent, investment, and collaborative spirit that define Arizona’s semiconductor community.”

Since 2020, Arizona has attracted more than 70 semiconductor expansions, representing over $314 billion in investment – the most in the nation. Expansions in Arizona span the entire value chain, including leading edge manufacturing, equipment, materials suppliers, advanced packaging, R&D, and workforce development.

In July, TSMC announced plans to invest an additional $100 billion in Arizona to build four more 2-nanometer or more advanced fabs in the state. The announcement brings TSMC’s total investment in Arizona to $265 billion.

In addition, over the last year, industry leaders including Intel, ASML, Applied Materials, Amkor and many more have celebrated significant industry expansions in in the state.
