Embedded Technology

Phoenix-based DarkPulse Inc. announced a new exclusive patent license agreement. The deal is with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, part of the U.S. Department of the Navy. The agreement gives DarkPulse exclusive rights to key LADAR and sensing technologies. The agreement supports DarkPulse Inc.’s strategy to adopt and commercialize government-developed innovations. The company will embed these technologies into its engineering, installation, and security management solutions.

DarkPulse, Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Phoenix and a leader in distributed fiber-optic sensing (DFOS) technologies for real-time critical infrastructure monitoring, today announced the execution of an exclusive patent license agreement (NLICENSE-NAWCWDCL-26-027) with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) of the United States Department of the Navy.
The agreement grants DarkPulse exclusive rights throughout the United States to commercialize three key Navy-developed patents:

  • U.S. Patent No. 10,031,215 B1: “Pulse timer providing accuracy in spatially local dimensioning and visualization,” issued July 24, 2018
  • U.S. Patent No. 7,312,855 B1: “Combined coherent and incoherent imaging LADAR,” issued December 25, 2007
  • U.S. Patent No. 7,948,610 B2: “Combined coherent and incoherent imaging LADAR,” issued May 24, 2011

These technologies deliver breakthrough combined coherent and incoherent Laser Detection and Ranging (LADAR) capabilities, enabling superior long-range object identification, high-resolution 3D imaging, precise velocity measurement, and exceptional accuracy in spatial dimensioning and visualization—even in complex or dynamic environments.

The pulse timer innovation further enhances real-time precision for laser-based systems, making them ideal for advanced laser targeting applications in defense, security, surveillance, and industrial sensing.

As a critical next step in its commercialization plan submitted to NAWCWD, DarkPulse will deliver a working prototype of the laser targeting system—developed by the Naval Air Warfare Center—to its manufacturing partner to begin full-scale production.

All products embodying these inventions for use or sale in the United States will be manufactured substantially in the United States, consistent with the terms of the license.

“We are thrilled to secure this exclusive license from the U.S. Navy,” said Dennis O’Leary, CEO of DarkPulse, Inc. “These cutting-edge LADAR and pulse timer technologies represent a transformative addition to our portfolio of laser sensing solutions. By delivering the working laser targeting system prototype to our manufacturing partner, we are taking an important step toward commercialization and fulfilling our commitment to bring these powerful Navy innovations to practical application for U.S. defense and security customers.”

The license agreement aligns with DarkPulse’s ongoing strategy to integrate government-developed technologies into its suite of engineering, installation, and security management solutions.

According to @azcommerce, a delegation of more than 30 Arizona legislative, business and economic development leaders completed a four-day trade mission to Ireland. The visit focused on expanding partnerships in high-tech industries, research, innovation and workforce development. Arizona and Ireland share strengths in semiconductors, medical technology, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, pharmaceuticals and clean energy. Trade between Arizona and Ireland exceeded $850 million in 2025.

The delegation met with officials from the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and IDA Ireland. Members also visited Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin to discuss research and workforce partnerships. At Intel Ireland, the group toured a campus that employs nearly 5,000 people and includes Fab 34, Europe’s first high-volume semiconductor facility to use Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. Intel’s Fab 52 in Chandler also uses EUV technology and will manufacture Intel 18A chips, highlighting the semiconductor connections between Arizona and Ireland.

Additional visits included the Guinness Enterprise Centre, Enterprise Ireland and a roundtable hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland. The delegation also visited the Irish Parliament in Dublin, where lawmakers formally recognized the Arizona group during a parliamentary session. #ireland #irishdelegation #trademission #silicondesert #metrophx
Cyclic Materials opened its first commercial-scale rare earth magnet recycling facility in @cityofmesa, strengthening the domestic supply of rare earth elements and critical minerals. The company invested more than $30 million in the 144,000-square-foot facility, which will initially create more than 25 jobs. The plant can process up to 25,000 metric tons of end-of-life products containing magnets each year. Cyclic Materials will recover rare earth magnet concentrate through its Mag-Xtract™ process, along with critical materials such as copper, aluminum and steel. Federal, state and local leaders joined company executives to celebrate the facility’s grand opening. #cyclicmaterials #silicondesert #mesaaz #advancedmanufacturing #metrophx

Tempe-based Dutch Bros Coffee plans to acquire 51 former Salad and Go locations after the fast-casual chain filed for bankruptcy, with the ongoing cyclosporiasis outbreak contributing to its collapse. Court documents filed Tuesday in federal bankruptcy court identify a Dutch Bros-affiliated LLC as the buyer of dozens of Salad and Go restaurants in Arizona and Nevada, along with leases for additional former locations in Texas and Oklahoma. #saladandgo #dutchbros #dutchbroscoffee #tempeaz #drivethru
Salad and Go filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday and announced it will permanently close all of its locations, serving its final meals Wednesday. The Gilbert-founded drive-thru restaurant chain submitted voluntary bankruptcy petitions in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston.

The company said declining consumer demand, rapid expansion challenges, and rising operating costs made its business unsustainable. Salad and Go also said the Cyclospora foodborne illness outbreak in July hurt sales, even though health officials did not link the chain to the contamination. #saladandgo #gilbertaz #cyclospora #bankruptcy #chapter11
