Expansive Indoor & Outdoor Transformation

Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley has completed a $7 million renovation of its meetings and events venues. The upgrade strengthens the resort’s position as a top destination in the Metro Phoenix region and the Southwest. The redesigned spaces cater to executive retreats, wellness gatherings, weddings, and private celebrations. Each venue blends modern style with the resort’s signature service and natural surroundings. The renovation spans 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Each space was reworked to reflect the desert environment while improving both flexibility and usability. The venues offer a tranquil setting with views of Camelback Mountain and the Praying Monk.

Paradise Valley’s award-winning Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa has completed a $7 million renovation of its premier meetings and events venues, further elevating the resort as one of the Southwest’s most sought-after destinations. Designed to appeal to everything from executive retreats and wellness-focused off-sites to weddings and private celebrations, the reimagined spaces offer a refined balance of modern design, natural beauty, and signature hospitality.

The expansive transformation encompasses 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including the Views Ballroom, Views Terrace, Paradise Views, Lower Lawn, and Cholla meeting room. Each venue has been thoughtfully redesigned to complement the surrounding desert landscape while maximizing flexibility and functionality. Paired with views of Camelback Mountain and the Praying Monk, the renovated spaces create a dramatic yet serene setting for events of every scale.

“This $7 million transformation represents a pivotal moment for Sanctuary Camelback Mountain as we enter 2026,” General Manager Laura McIver said. “The reimagined spaces honor our commitment to providing exceptional experiences while solidifying our position as the premier destination for sophisticated gatherings in the greater Phoenix area.”

At the heart of the renovation is the 3,851-square-foot Views Ballroom, which has undergone a dramatic redesign. Enhancements to the north façade removed visual obstructions such as the existing fireplace, exterior bars, and partial walls, allowing unobstructed vistas to take center stage. Architectural improvements to the west and north elevations introduced new storefront windows and doors, along with a brise soleil sunshade that wraps three sides of the structure, delivering both visual cohesion and functional shade.

Outdoor spaces were given equal priority. The Views Lawn and Terrace now feature flexible seating across upper, middle, and lower tiers, allowing planners to customize layouts for everything from intimate ceremonies to large-scale celebrations. These versatile outdoor environments blend indoor comfort with the resort’s natural surroundings. Inside, the Cholla meeting room and Paradise Views areas were refreshed with updated finishes and design details that enhance ambiance and usability.

Historically, Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa has been known for its impressive portfolio of meeting and event spaces. The renovation modernizes the resort’s aesthetic while preserving its signature elegance, expanding capabilities that range from intimate 12-person private chef’s table experiences to 280-guest wedding celebrations. Each event is supported by curated services, award-winning catering, and standout amenities designed to elevate the guest experience.

Wellness remains central to the Sanctuary ethos, and the completion of the renovation coincides with the launch of new group programming that integrates mindfulness, movement, and connection. Among the new offerings is The Elements Package, a customizable group itinerary inspired by the desert’s natural elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Designed to help groups “meet well,” the package blends productivity with wellness experiences and the resort’s acclaimed culinary program.

The resort has also introduced Mental Fitness Workshops in partnership with Kinfolk Optimal Living Workshop. These sessions provide body-based tools such as nervous system awareness, stress identification, grounding techniques, guided reflection, and journaling, helping participants leave focused, resilient, and recharged.

For executive-level gatherings, Sanctuary’s collection of private mountainside villas now serves as fully serviced residences, offering hyper-personalized experiences including private chef dinners, concierge services, and tailored wellness sessions for C-suite meetings and retreats. With its newly renovated meeting and event spaces, the resort offers an elevated canvas for gatherings, reinforcing its status as a premier destination for groups seeking inspiration and renewal.
