7 Brew agreed to pay about $143.2 million for 73 Salad and Go locations as the restaurant chain moves through bankruptcy. Salad and Go selected 7 Brew as the winning bidder after an auction with Dutch Bros. Dutch Bros declined to submit a higher offer and became the backup bidder.

The portfolio includes 41 locations in Arizona, 20 in Texas and six each in Nevada and Oklahoma. The acquisition would give 7 Brew dozens of established drive-thru sites as competition for suitable restaurant real estate continues to grow.

7 Brew ranks among the fastest-growing restaurant concepts in the country. The beverage chain now operates more than 800 locations across 38 states. It added a net 562 shops from 2023 through 2025 and generated $1.2 billion in sales last year.

Dutch Bros initially agreed to pay $105 million for 51 drive-thru restaurants in Arizona and Nevada, along with 14 leases in Texas and Oklahoma. However, Salad and Go’s bankruptcy process allowed competing offers. If the 7 Brew deal closes, Dutch Bros will receive a $3.8 million termination fee plus eligible documented expenses.

The sale follows a major contraction for Gilbert-founded Salad and Go, which grew to 146 restaurants at its peak before closing dozens of locations. The company filed for bankruptcy after aggressive expansion and mounting financial pressure. The 7 Brew transaction remains subject to court approval, with a hearing scheduled for Sept. 21.
