Reimagined Women’s Health and Maternity Care

Abrazo West Campus and Abrazo Arrowhead Campuses have introduced The Nest. The new name and brand reflect a clear commitment to comprehensive women’s services. The hospitals designed these services to support women, babies, and families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

The Nest creates a warm, welcoming, family-centered environment. It feels like a home away from home. Soft colors and calming images set the tone from the moment patients arrive. Care teams provide expert, personalized support in a nurturing setting from arrival through discharge.

PHOENIX — Abrazo West and Abrazo Arrowhead Campus’ have unveiled The Nest, a new name, look and feel and a commitment that represents our comprehensive women’s services across both hospitals — purposely designed to support women, babies, and families through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.

The Nest is a warm, welcoming, and family-centered environment, like a “home away from home” from the time you enter with the soft colors and images, it’s a place where mothers, babies, and families receive expert care in a tailored, nurturing and supportive setting from arrival to departure.

Across both campuses, The Nest includes:

  • Spacious custom private labor and delivery suites
  • Advanced wireless fetal monitoring
  • AquaDoula water birthing options at Abrazo West
  • Breastfeeding education and lactation consultations
  • Support before, during, and after pregnancy
  • Dedicated 24/7 OB hospitalist coverage
  • Dedicated 24/7 Neonatal Coverage
  • Sleep accommodation for family & other supporters
  • Family-centered amenities that promote bonding and healing

Bringing a child into the world is one of life’s most powerful and vulnerable moments. For some families, it unfolds exactly as planned. For others, it includes unexpected challenges, medical complexities, or premature birth.

For this reason, neonatal services remain a critical component of The Nest. Families of premature or medically complex infants benefit from advanced NICU care and enhanced emotional support environments designed to reduce stress and promote bonding.

“It’s more than just a physical space, The Nest reflects Abrazo Health’s deep commitment to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes while honoring the family’s emotional journey. We created The Nest with this understanding — that clinical excellence must come with compassion, comfort, and emotional support,” said Brian Elisco, AZ Group CEO, Abrazo Health.

The Nest represents a broader investment by Abrazo Health in maternal and neonatal services across the Valley. The Nest is the latest in recent investments at Abrazo Arrowhead in neonatal care, including a $14 million NICU expansion completed in 2023 that significantly enhanced care capacity for newborns across the Northwest Valley.

Abrazo West Campus also continues to expand its maternal-child services completing a $415,000 renovation of its Labor and Delivery department in 2024.

“By uniting women’s services under one cohesive brand The Nest, Abrazo Health ensures families have access to advanced medical care paired with meaningful emotional support in one appropriate setting, meaning access to the physical and emotional support necessary for a positive hospital experience and memories of a lifetime,” said Stephen Garner, CEO, Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital.

According to @azcommerce, a delegation of more than 30 Arizona legislative, business and economic development leaders completed a four-day trade mission to Ireland. The visit focused on expanding partnerships in high-tech industries, research, innovation and workforce development. Arizona and Ireland share strengths in semiconductors, medical technology, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, pharmaceuticals and clean energy. Trade between Arizona and Ireland exceeded $850 million in 2025.

The delegation met with officials from the U.S. Embassy in Dublin, Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and IDA Ireland. Members also visited Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin to discuss research and workforce partnerships. At Intel Ireland, the group toured a campus that employs nearly 5,000 people and includes Fab 34, Europe’s first high-volume semiconductor facility to use Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. Intel’s Fab 52 in Chandler also uses EUV technology and will manufacture Intel 18A chips, highlighting the semiconductor connections between Arizona and Ireland.

Additional visits included the Guinness Enterprise Centre, Enterprise Ireland and a roundtable hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland. The delegation also visited the Irish Parliament in Dublin, where lawmakers formally recognized the Arizona group during a parliamentary session. #ireland #irishdelegation #trademission #silicondesert #metrophx

Salad and Go filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday and announced it will permanently close all of its locations, serving its final meals Wednesday. The Gilbert-founded drive-thru restaurant chain submitted voluntary bankruptcy petitions in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston.

The company said declining consumer demand, rapid expansion challenges, and rising operating costs made its business unsustainable. Salad and Go also said the Cyclospora foodborne illness outbreak in July hurt sales, even though health officials did not link the chain to the contamination. #saladandgo #gilbertaz #cyclospora #bankruptcy #chapter11
